As you will recall it was agreed that for 2011 all Club tournaments will be held on the 3^rd Monday of each month except for February and June, and established Dad Miller as the Club’s home course for most of the outings in 2011. I have been able to arrange for 16 players for the April outing. Therefore, if you plan to play in any outing, I strongly suggest that you get your reservation in as soon as you receive the newsletter and reservation form to assure a playing spot. In addition, since we do not have a volunteer for Vice President, Tournament Chairman, Treasurer, and Bill Miller will receive your check and reservation form and President Roger Ross will handle the tournament.

On March 21 nine brave souls ventured to the Dad Miller course. The rain gods provided us with plenty of water the night before the outing but when we arrived, there was no rain BUT it looked like it could pour at any time. Four of the group decided to venture forth after the business meeting. I have not had the results for that group yet but I think it might be safe to say that there was a little rain on their parade.

At the meeting, it was agreed to conduct the Potentate’s Official Visit at the Dad Miller Golf Course after the August outing on August 15 provided the facility is available. It was also agreed to support the Annual Temple Golf Tournament again this year for $450.00. This makes the Golf club a co-sponsor of the event. All members are encouraged to get a foursome together and participate in the annual event this year to be held on June 20^th at the Upland Hills Country Club.

At the meeting Don Sorsabal announced that the Annual Frank Pherrin Memorial Golf Tournament will be held once again at the Indian Palms Resort in Indio. That date has been rescheduled to May 8, 9, & 10. Six two bedroom condominiums have been reserve for those participating. The cost of the condominium is $78.00 plus tax per night. The tournament day is May 9. Golf will cost of $44.00 each round and you can play three days if you wish. An information and reservation sheet is included with this newsletter. Since there are only six condominiums, I would suggest that you team up with another couple and share the cost. That way it will only cost you for one night plus food and golf—you really cannot find a better deal. I will need the reservations confirmed by May 2^nd Please complete the reservation form for the Frank Pherrin Tournament as quickly as possible and return it to me with your check now while you are thinking of it. The Golf Club’s next outing will be on April 18 at Dad Miller. The meeting will begin at 8:30 and golf at 9:30. Remember to send your reservation form and check for $29.00 to Bill Miller at 13800 El Dorado Dr # 24B, Seal Beach, CA 90740-3919. I have been able to arrange for an additional foursome for this date so we can have 16 players.
